Ok the Christmas hangover is over, I am starting this all over. I am pretty sure no one except maybe my family cares very much about my thoughts on culture, science fiction, politics, religion, sex, music, raising chiclids or growing orchids But maybe IP Telephony and VoIP, particularly the Cisco flavor, is the ticket.
I have been a telecommunications professional for over 15 years and am currently responsible for the design and implementation of a Cisco solution to replace a legacy Nortel network that encompasses over 1000 locations and 15,000 lines and telephones. I manage a small group of highly skilled voice and data engineers. I helped build about half of the Nortel network so I am familiar with both sides of the fence - Nortel/Cisco and VoIP/TDM.
I will use this blog as a notepad for my CCVP studies and various projects that I am leading or am involved in, as a forum for my thoughts on Cisco VoIP solutions and to share my experiences implementing them. I will not dedicate these posts entirely to Cisco since I am also working with Nortel VoIP products and carrier provided solutions.
I have no idea where this is going to go but I hope who ever stumbles across this blog finds it informative and somewhat entertaining.
