Post 2 Lets start over

Ok the Christmas hangover is over, I am starting this all over. I am pretty sure no one except maybe my family cares very much about my thoughts on culture, science fiction, politics, religion, sex, music, raising chiclids or growing orchids But maybe IP Telephony and VoIP, particularly the Cisco flavor, is the ticket.

I have been a telecommunications professional for over 15 years and am currently responsible for the design and implementation of a Cisco solution to replace a legacy Nortel network that encompasses over 1000 locations and 15,000 lines and telephones. I manage a small group of highly skilled voice and data engineers. I helped build about half of the Nortel network so I am familiar with both sides of the fence - Nortel/Cisco and VoIP/TDM.

I will use this blog as a notepad for my CCVP studies and various projects that I am leading or am involved in, as a forum for my thoughts on Cisco VoIP solutions and to share my experiences implementing them. I will not dedicate these posts entirely to Cisco since I am also working with Nortel VoIP products and carrier provided solutions.

I have no idea where this is going to go but I hope who ever stumbles across this blog finds it informative and somewhat entertaining.

Well here we are, not sure where or why except this seems to be a good idea. I was reading a story on Yahoo about blogs making money from advertisements http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071226/ap_on_hi_te/business_of_life_2 so I decided to make my own Blog and see what happens. I have always enjoyed writing and reading so this should be interesting. If I could somehow pick up a little cash on the side that also would not hurt. After all I have kids to put through college and it appears this is going to have a serious impact on my financial empire.

Anyway this Blog will be as the title suggests - a flow of my thoughts to entertain, titillate ( love that word), and educate all who visit. Not sure what topics we will cover but I have intrests in popular culture, science fiction, politics, religion, sex, music, raising chiclids, growing orchids and Cisco IP Telephony. Acually all telephony since that is what pays the bills. Anyway I am off to figure out how to get Advertisers on my site so my loyal readers can begin generating me some more income to help pay for my children's education.
